We’re excited to share the latest updates from the team at DECO and our key partners.
The Next Bricks in our Foundation—Key Patent Issued
Arka Ray and Jennifer Hinkel, DECO Managing Directors, started developing the science and technology behind the LydionⓇ Engine more than four years ago. DECO is now proud to share that one of the key patents describing Workchains and Transactional Proof of Work authored by Arka and Jennifer has been issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
This patent paves the way for additional IP filings related to the science and technology of data economics that are integral to the growth of the LydionⓇ Engine and DECO’s technology product portfolio.
Building New Sectors
DECO also announced exciting partnerships to drive growth in two key sectors:
DECO announced a partnership with Three Donkeys LLC, a game studio led by highly celebrated game designers Richard Garfield and Skaff Elias, to develop consumer entertainment experiences. Garfield and Elias are most well known for their flagship trading card game creation, Magic: The Gathering.
This partnership opens up new ways of utilizing and distributing the LydionⓇ Engine in one of the largest entertainment spaces in the world: video games. Analytics firm Statista forecasts that the video game market will be globally valued at approximately $268B by 2025.
DECO and Three Donkeys are already making significant progress on building new video game experiences that will showcase the possibilities of the LydionⓇ Engine in ways yet to be explored, with more announcements to come in 2022.
DECO proudly announced a new initiative in climate—DECO and Gordian Knot Strategies are partnering to build a DeFi platform to accelerate climate sustainability finance and investment management. Gordian Knot Strategies is a leading firm in climate investment solutions for government agencies, NGOs, and multinational corporations.
With climate as a UN global sustainability priority, this partnership will enable DECO to demonstrate how the LydionⓇ Engine will support global advancements in reducing and potentially mitigating the impacts of climate change.
The Introduction to Data Economics Textbook
DECO continues to receive positive feedback from the scientific and academic community on the Introduction to Data Economics chapters published in The Lydion Magazine. These chapters introduce readers to data economics and pull them into the science and math behind the LydionⓇ Engine.
